Carla is an amazing painter and we finished painting that same day. Of course two weeks later I am still putting pieces back together of my bonus room. It was years of not going through things….I really want to shove it all back but I haven’t…..yet. How do we accumulate so much stuff? My idea was to have the bonus room all done and organized before the crazy busy of the christmas season (for work) begins. I should have started it earlier. I will probably only take two or three more photo sessions then am closing the appointment book for the year. So crazy. It still amazes me that people want me to take pictures of their families. It really is a privilege and I love the photographing them. (Just not the computer stuff).  

The boys and I have been tending our garden each morning and it has turned out to be one of the smartest things I have ever done. I love the time with them and the wonder of watching plants grow. Did I say that? I know,..crazy. But it’s so peaceful out there in the morning. It’s going to be such a happy memory for me, watching the boys faces each morning and seeing them sing and dance to the plants. I told them that’s how they grow well. It’s a hoot.

The big boys have been super busy with school and sports,..and piano for the two oldest. They really love it and so far we are surviving the crazy schedule of eight practices, (Nathaniel is the assistant coach for Jared so that only counts for Jared) two piano lessons and after school stuff.  Andrew also has games on week nights. He tried out for the soccer team at his high school but he thinks he probably didn’t make it. He was sad today. I told him maybe he was meant to try something new that he was going to love even more, like when Nathaniel found his passion for track and pole vaulting. He wouldn’t have done that if HE made the soccer team. It’s sad to see them so defeated. I just want to hug him and tell him they are stupid if they don’t pick him. But he hates it when I hug him. I think I will wait until he is asleep and hug him then.

I am also working on updating my website as well as the online galleries. I have been so busy, I haven’t updated the galleries in almost six months! There will be lots more pictures to share. Over the next month I will also be offering new collage styles as well as new templates for both birth announcements and yes, holiday cards.

Before we know it the holiday rush (for pictures) will be here! Last year my calendar filled so quickly I was booked for the season by September 30th. So crazy. This summer I will send a reminder email to all my clients with a special offer for those who book early.

This sweet baby is the princess of the house now with two older brothers as well as her parents all adoring  her. I just loved all the pink of her gorgeous room, (her mom is a very talented designer who will hopefully be sharing her talents someday) and had such a great time photographing and visiting with this family!

This little girl was walking hand in hand with her family toward the end of our session, when all of the sudden she broke away, ran back towards me and grabbed my hand. Awwwww. What a doll. Her big brother was so much fun too, running, jumping and even doing awesome cartwheels! Thanks for the fun morning at the park!

I had such a fabulous time with this adorable couple who really do have the sweetest story. They had me tearing up, so sweet. I just loved hanging out in downtown Pasadena with them! If I was a wedding photographer I would be so excited to shoot their wedding! Not only were they so beautiful and at ease in front of my camera, they were up for anything! Who wouldn’t love that??

This sweet little baby girl had the cutest expressions. Four month olds are such fun! I adored this family who also have five kids. They must do things a bit differently than we do in my house, first of all, there weren’t broken things everywhere…. The house was immaculate and beautiful and never in a million years would you guess this gorgeous mom had five kids!!

I am glad they have it all figured out! Big families are so awesome and I look forward to meeting the whole bunch someday!

Is it summer yet? I think it is, even though I can see snow on the mountains by my house. Well last weekend it was crazy hot!

This cute couple is getting married in July. It is so much fun to be around people so giddy in love with each other. This husband-to-be was just so sweet and gushy in love with his girl, who also adored him. They were such fun and even prepared to jump into the ocean! The tide came in quick and by the time we were done we were all wet,…okay them worse than me. Thanks for the fun!!

This talented band was so much fun to work with!! We spent the evening walking around the campus of our Church finding fun places to shoot.  I believe their first album is coming out soon and I am so excited for them. They really are so awesome and it was such a pleasure meeting them all. I look forward to seeing them play very soon!!!
